Are injectable treatments safe
Yes—when done by a trained medical professional. I’ve been injecting for over a decade, and patient safety is always the top priority. I use only Health Canada-approved products and stay current with advanced training. There are several red flags you should look for when choosing a cosmetic injector, learn about them here.

How do I know which injectable is right for me
That’s where your consultation comes in. I’ll assess your facial anatomy, listen to your concerns, and create a plan that suits both your goals and budget. No pressure—just education and honest recommendations.

What should I expect during my consultation?
We’ll discuss your concerns, review your health history, and go over your facial structure. I’ll explain treatment options, pricing, and timelines. Whether you decide to proceed or not, my goal is that you leave with clarity. I will never pressure you into moving forward with a treatment. Consultations are complimentary and are included at the beginning of every treatment with me—or they can be booked separately if you aren’t sure what treatment to book.

How long do results typically last?
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I also recommend certain holistic strategies, like zinc supplementation, to help extend the results of your botox.
Can I combine different injectable treatments?
Absolutely. I often layer treatments strategically—for example, using a neuromodulator to soften perioral rhytides above the lips and filler to add volume. A combined, holistic approach to injections creates the most balanced, natural-looking results. All treatment plans with me are highly individualized so I do recommend booking a complimentary consultation to determine the best combo of injectables for you.

What’s the difference between neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and biostimulators
I could probably write a novel about this, but here’s the quick summary:
Neuromodulators: Relax muscles to smooth expression lines
Dermal fillers: Add volume to shape and contour
Biostimulators: Stimulate collagen for long-term rejuvenation
Are cosmetic injections painful?
Most injections (and injection sites) are well-tolerated. I use fine needles and topical numbing when needed to keep you comfortable throughout the process. If you are nervous about your treatment, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Do I need a follow-up appointment after my treatment?
I highly recommend booking a follow-up visit so we can see how your results have settled (this goes for both botox and dermal fillers). For neuromodulators, I often recommend a quick check-in at the two to three week mark, once the results have kicked in. For dermal filler, I recommend a similar timeline of at least two weeks so that any swelling has subsided and we can accurately make minor adjustments if needed.
How should I care for my skin after cosmetic injections?
Proper aftercare is so important for the best results! After your cosmetic injections in Kamloops and Kelowna, avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for a few hours to prevent irritation or infection. It’s also a good idea to skip makeup for the rest of the day, especially after dermal filler treatments.
For the first 24 hours, try to avoid intense exercise or hot showers, as these can increase swelling and bruising. Also, protect your skin from direct sun exposure, as it can make bruising worse. Staying upright for a few hours after your treatment can help prevent filler migration, and I always recommend taking it easy for the rest of the day to let your body adjust.

How much do cosmetic injections cost?
The cost of cosmetic injections in BC, particularly Kamloops and Kelowna, varies depending on the type of treatment and how much product is needed, but I always try to provide transparent, upfront pricing so you’ll never be surprised. The cost of botox in BC typically ranges between $10 to $15 per unit, and the number of units required depends on the area being treated and the individual’s muscle strength. For dermal fillers, the price usually ranges from $400 to $900 per syringe, depending on the type of filler.
During your complimentary consultation (at any of my locations), we’ll discuss your concerns and budget, so we can come up with the right treatment plan for you (and your wallet).
dermal fillers
What are dermal fillers?
Fillers restore lost volume and smooth out static wrinkles by injecting a gel-like substance, typically hyaluronic acid, into targeted areas. Dermal fillers are especially great for plumping areas such as the lips, cheeks, and jawline, helping to create a youthful, contoured appearance.
How are dermal fillers different from neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators relax muscles to reduce movement-related lines. Fillers, on the other hand, add volume to smooth wrinkles or contour specific areas. Think of it this way: neuromodulators reduce motion; fillers restore structure.

How long do dermal fillers last?
It depends on the area treated and the specific product used, but most hyaluronic acid fillers last between 4 and 12 months.
What areas can be treated with Revanesse® fillers?
Revanesse® has a line of beautiful formulas that can treat the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, smile lines (nasolabial folds), and under the eyes. The sophical shape of this Canadian-made formula is received well by the body for longer lasting, natural results. Each Revanesse® filler is formulated slightly differently with a specific purpose in mind—Revanesse® Kiss™+, Revanesse® Contour™+, Revanesse® Shape™+, Revanesse® Sculpt™+ and Revanesse® Versa™+.
What is the best brand of dermal filler?
I choose Revanesse® because it consistently delivers smooth, natural-looking results with minimal downtime. It’s a Canadian-made filler line, which means it’s formulated and manufactured under strict quality standards—and that matters to me and my patients.
What I appreciate most is how well it integrates into the skin. It’s easy to shape, settles beautifully, and tends to cause less swelling and bruising compared to other brands. My patients walk out looking like refreshed versions of themselves—not overdone—and that’s always the goal. The full range of formulas also gives me the flexibility to customize treatment based on your unique facial anatomy and goals.
Simply put: it’s a product I trust, and one that patients love coming back for.
Can dermal fillers be reversed or dissolved?

Will I bruise or swell after filler?
Some bruising and swelling is possible, especially in more sensitive areas like the lips. I use techniques to reduce this—like using a cannula or injecting slowly—but it’s best to plan around major events just in case.

How do I prepare for a dermal filler appointment?
There are a few simple things you can do to make your treatment more comfortable and reduce the risk of bruising. I usually recommend avoiding alcohol, blood thinners (if it’s safe for you), and intense workouts for about 24 to 48 hours beforehand. For the full rundown, I’ve put together a step-by-step resource you can check out here: Your Ultimate Guide to Filler and Botox Before and Aftercare
Will dermal fillers make me look fake?
Another common worry is that dermal fillers might make you look “fake” or overdone. Here’s the thing: much like botox, when dermal fillers are used correctly, they should enhance your natural features in a subtle way, not totally change what you look like. Fillers should never make you look drastically different—just refreshed and rejuvenated. The key to avoiding a “fake” look is to avoid overfilling. It’s easy for things to go wrong if too much filler is placed in one area, or if your filler is injected in the wrong spot. This is why facial balancing–something I’m so passionate about–is so important.
When you’re working with a skilled injector who truly understands facial anatomy, the results will be both natural and beautiful. Whether you visit me for cosmetic injections in Kamloops or Kelowna, I take the time to ensure that each treatment works harmoniously with your overall facial structure. That way, you won’t look overdone—you’ll just look like the best version of yourself.

What is facial balancing?
When it comes to cosmetic injections in Kamloops and Kelowna, achieving natural-looking results is all about balance. That’s why I focus so much on facial balancing—because it’s the secret to making sure your enhancements look like the best version of you, not something that’s overdone or out of proportion. Facial balancing is the art of making sure all of your features work together in harmony. It’s not about treating one area in isolation, but enhancing your face as a whole so everything looks cohesive and natural.
For example, if you’re getting lip fillers, I might suggest adding a little chin filler to keep your profile in balance. Each face is unique, and I want to make sure your treatment plan highlights your best features in the most flattering way possible.
During your consultation, we’ll take the time to understand your goals and carefully assess how your facial features interact. From there, we’ll design a personalized approach that focuses on your natural beauty and gives you the fresh, confident look you’re hoping for. My goal is simple: to help you feel amazing in your skin—without anyone being able to tell you’ve had anything done.

Neuromodulators
What are neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are injectable treatments that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles to soften expression lines and prevent new ones from forming. You’ve probably heard of botox—but that’s actually just one brand (Botox® Cosmetic). In my practice, I also use Dysport® and Xeomin®, all of which are Health Canada–approved and work in a very similar way. The right product depends on your anatomy, treatment goals, and how your body responds. I’ll walk you through all your options during your consultation so we can choose what’s best for you.

How long does it take to see botox results?
Botox results aren’t instant—but they kick in pretty quickly. You’ll usually start noticing a softening of lines in 3 to 5 days, with the full effect around day 10 to 14. Optimal results are seen between week 2 and week 6 and then gradually start to fade, lasting on average 3 months.

How long do results last?
Most neuromodulator results last around 3 to 4 months. Some people metabolize the product a bit faster or slower. I’ll guide you on timing for touch-ups to maintain a consistent result.

Will I look frozen?
This is one of the most common concerns I hear—and it’s a valid one! My goal is always to keep things natural. You’ll still be able to express yourself; you’ll just look more relaxed and refreshed. I use conservative dosing and tailor every treatment to your facial anatomy.

What’s the difference between BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Xeomin®?
All are neuromodulators that work in a similar way, but they have slight differences in how they spread, take effect, and are manufactured. While I carry all three brands, I personally prefer the results patients can achieve with Dysport® as the formula tends to spread more easily across the treatment area. That said, if we are treating smaller areas (where we may want the product to stay pretty restricted), we may opt for another brand. Not everyone responds to neuromodulators the same way, and rotating between brands every few treatments may help prevent your body from developing a tolerance—where the product becomes less effective.
Can neuromodulators prevent wrinkles from forming?
Yes, absolutely. When started early and done consistently, neuromodulators can help prevent deep-set wrinkles by reducing repetitive muscle movements over time. That’s why you’ll often hear about people getting “preventative botox” in their 20s or 30s.
View this post on Instagram
Is there an ideal age to start neuromodulators?
There’s no “perfect” age—it depends more on your anatomy, goals, and how expressive your face is. I treat patients as young as their late-20s (preventatively) and well into their 50s+ who want to soften deeper lines. The key is a personalized treatment plan.
Can I get neuromodulators while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Out of an abundance of caution, I do not recommend treatment while pregnant or nursing. We’ll hit pause and revisit your plan when the timing is right.

Is this the same injection point as a lip flip or gummy smile treatment?
Not quite! For a gummy smile, we use a small dose (typically 2–4 units per side) to relax a muscle called the levator labii superioris alaeque nasi—this keeps the upper lip from lifting too high when you smile. A lip flip targets the orbicularis oris muscle just above the lip to help it curl outward slightly for a fuller look. While you could combine the two, they both have different purposes.
Skinboosters
What are Restylane® Skinboosters™?
Skinboosters are a different kind of injectable—not quite a filler, not quite a moisturizer. They use a soft form of hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate and improve the overall quality of your skin. Think: dewy, radiant, healthy-looking skin from the inside out.
View this post on Instagram
How are skinboosters different from dermal fillers?
Unlike traditional fillers that are used for volume and structure, Skinboosters don’t “fill” anything. They’re injected very superficially to deliver deep hydration and stimulate collagen over time. The result is smoother texture, better elasticity, and that hydrated glow.
View this post on Instagram
What skin concerns do skinboosters treat?
Skinboosters are ideal for treating dullness, fine lines, dehydration, and crepey texture. I often recommend them for patients noticing early signs of aging or just wanting to improve overall skin quality—especially in the lower face, neck, and under eyes.
How long do skinbooster results last?
After your initial series (usually 2–3 sessions), results can last around 6 to 9 months. Maintenance treatments 1–2 times per year help you maintain that glowing skin.

What is the treatment process like?
It’s quick and straightforward. I use a fine needle or cannula to deposit the product in micro-droplets across the treatment area. Most people say it feels like small pinches or pressure—totally tolerable, and we use numbing if needed.
View this post on Instagram
Will Skinboosters make my face look puffy?
No—Skinboosters are designed for skin texture, not volume. You won’t look “filled.” Instead, you’ll notice softer, more hydrated skin that looks like you’ve been drinking all your water and getting eight hours of sleep (even if you haven’t).
Who is a good candidate for skinboosters?
Skinboosters™ are ideal for individuals who desire a natural approach to addressing signs of aging, such as fine lines, reduced elasticity and dryness. Skinboosters™ do not provide dramatic results, but a subtle refresh. If your goal is to address deep wrinkles and folds, another treatment, such as traditional dermal fillers, could be more beneficial for you. Skinboosters™ can be used—and very successfully—in combination with other cosmetic injection treatments.
Patients who are under the age of 18, pregnant, breastfeeding or with a known allergy to hyaluronic acid based products are not eligible for Skinboosters™ treatments. Always consult your family doctor prior to introducing a new treatment into your routine.
How soon will I see improvements in my skin?
You may notice an improvement in glow and hydration within a few days, but full results build gradually over 2–4 weeks. A second session helps lock in results and kickstart collagen production.
Can I wear makeup after a skinbooster session?
I recommend waiting at least 12 hours before applying makeup to give your skin time to settle. After that, you’re good to go—just keep things gentle and clean.
bistimulators
What are biostimulators?
Biostimulators are a type of injectable that work by stimulating your skin’s natural collagen production. Collagen is the protein that gives your skin its structure, firmness, and elasticity. As you age, your natural collagen production slows down, leading to wrinkles, sagging, and volume loss. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, which immediately add volume to your lips or other areas of your face, biostimulators take a different approach: They help your body gradually rebuild its collagen over time, thus increasing volume naturally. One of the most well-known biostimulators is Sculptra®, which contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)—a synthetic substance that encourages your skin to produce new collagen in response to the injection.
What is Sculptra® and how does it work?
Sculptra® is my go-to biostimulator. Made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), Sculptra® works by encouraging your skin to rebuild its own collagen from the inside out. Instead of providing instant volume like filler, Sculptra® helps your skin gradually restore its structure over a few months.
Further reading: Biostimulators: Build Collagen Naturally
How many treatments will I need with Sculptra®?
Most people do best with a series of 2 to 3 Sculptra® sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. During your consultation, I’ll personalize your plan based on your goals and skin health. Annual maintenance is usually recommended to sustain results.
When will I see results from Sculptra®?
If you’re looking for a “quick fix,” biostimulators definitely aren’t it. It takes time to stimulate collagen production, so your results during your appointment with me in Kamloops or Kelowna will be anything but immediate. After your first treatment, it may take about four to six weeks to start seeing initial changes. The full effects typically become noticeable after three to four months, as collagen gradually builds and tightens your skin. Many of my patients report feeling like their skin looks firmer, smoother, and more refreshed.
How long does Sculptra® last?
Over time, your skin will continue to improve after each Sculptra® treatment, and the results can last up to five years, depending on the treatment area and your individual factors like age, skin type, and lifestyle. Unlike fillers, which offer more dramatic and instant results, biostimulators provide a subtle, gradual improvement that looks more natural—and can give you a youthful look that lasts much longer.
What areas can be treated with Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is incredibly versatile. I commonly use it to treat temples, cheeks, jawline, and smile lines. It’s also excellent for overall lower face support and skin laxity. To learn more, click here.
Can Sculptra® be combined with botox or fillers?
Absolutely. I often pair Sculptra® with neuromodulators for wrinkle prevention or with dermal fillers for structure and contour. These treatments work really well together when layered strategically.
Is there any downtime with Sculptra®?
Sculptra® doesn’t require true downtime—you can usually return to your regular routine right after your appointment—but there are a few important aftercare steps I always walk patients through. You might notice some swelling or tenderness in the treated areas for a day or two, and occasionally mild bruising.
What’s most important after Sculptra® is consistency with your aftercare. I recommend massaging the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. This helps the product distribute evenly and reduces the risk of small lumps or nodules. I also suggest avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat (like saunas or hot yoga) for at least 24 hours post-treatment. These guidelines help support a smooth, natural result as your collagen builds gradually over time.
If you’re ever unsure about what to do after your appointment, I’ll make sure you leave with clear, written instructions—and you can always reach out with questions.
How do I know if Sculptra® is right for me?
As always, it’s important to consult with a skilled injector who understands both aesthetic techniques and the holistic approach to skincare. They’ll be
How are biostimulators different from dermal fillers?
It’s easy to confuse biostimulators with dermal fillers, but they actually serve different purposes.
- Dermal Fillers: These injectables provide instant volume and smooth out wrinkles. They’re great for areas where you’ve lost volume, like your cheeks, lips and chin, or under your eyes, or to smooth lines and folds. The results are immediate, but they’re temporary and typically last anywhere from six to 18 months.
- Biostimulators: In contrast, you won’t immediately see the results of biostimulators like Sculptra®. Instead, they work gradually, stimulating the production of collagen over time. The results are subtler and more natural-looking, and they last longer—up to five years! You might think of biostimulators as a long-term investment in the health and structure of your skin.
