Biostimulators, skinboosters, facial balancing and preventative treatments—these will be the top cosmetic injection trends for 2025. If you are looking for cosmetic injections in Kelowna or Kamloops, read this.
With a fresh calendar on my desk, I’ve been reflecting on how far the industry has come over the past year and where cosmetic injections are headed in 2025. As a Naturopathic Doctor, who also offers cosmetic injections, I can confidently say, I am actually excited about the cosmetic injections “trends” I’m starting to see, as they align with my own philosophy.
During the pandemic, cosmetic injection trends were extreme, focusing on creating real-life filters for individuals who spent far too much time staring at themselves on Zoom. While I did not partake in this trend for the sake of my patients, many individuals did end up with unrealistic, unbalanced filler—and a lot of filler migration. For example, while lip fillers continue to be one of the most popular cosmetic injection treatments in not only my practice, but in the industry, I have noticed a shift—but we’ll get into that more later. At my six cosmetic injection locations across Kelowna and Kamloops, I am seeing more and more patients coming in with a desire to achieve natural-looking results. My clients are increasingly interested in a more authentic approach to cosmetics, one that celebrates individuality instead of striving for perfection.
I’m seeing this shift not just in consultations and treatments with my cosmetic injection patients, but across the industry, among my peers, and social media. Along with this, there’s growing interest in treatments that offer longer-lasting results—you’ll hear the term ‘regenerative aesthetics’ a lot this year. As someone who’s passionate about holistic health, it’s been beyond fulfilling to watch these trends pick up steam, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where they go in the year ahead. And with that, here are the most popular cosmetic injection trends for 2025.
1. Regenerative Aesthetics
One of the biggest trends I’m excited about for 2025 is the rise of regenerative aesthetics and biostimulators like Sculptra®. These treatments are really starting to take off because they work with your body to help it produce more youth-promoting components naturally. For example, Sculptra® stimulates collagen production, giving you long-term, natural-looking results that improve over time. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that add volume directly under the skin, biostimulators like Sculptra® work beneath the surface to gradually restore lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, and boost the overall health of your skin. What’s great about these treatments is that they offer subtle, progressive results that look more natural and last much longer—up to five years in fact!
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I love how biostimulators align with a holistic approach to beauty. Rather than just filling lines, they rejuvenate your skin from within and allow you to still look like, well…you! If you have yet to learn about Sculptra® and are interested in learning more, I invite you to book your complimentary consultation with me at one of my six locations across Kamloops and Kelowna.
2. Facial Balancing with Filler
If you’re already a cosmetic injection patient of mine in Kelowna or Kamloops, you know how passionate I am about profile and facial balancing in my practice. And now, we’re seeing this same concept become a hugely popular cosmetic injection trend for 2025. Facial balancing focuses on enhancing your natural features with subtle, strategically placed injections. Instead of focusing on one feature, approaching cosmetic injections with facial balancing considers your face as a whole. This allows for each facial feature to stay proportionate and seamlessly flow into the next, making your cosmetic injection results undetectable. For example, instead of just treating the lips with dermal filler, we will consider how adding volume to the lips will impact how the chin or jawline appear. Adding too much volume to the lips without considering the chin can cause it to look recessed and disrupt your natural facial profile. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I have a deep understanding of facial musculature and bone structure, which helps me make precise adjustments that respect each client’s unique features, allowing them to achieve the subtle results they desire without looking “overdone” or unbalanced.
3. Strategic Treatment Plans
Just like when the dentist recommends you come back for a cleaning in six months or a treatment immediately, this year in cosmetic injections, you’ll see a trend of personalized treatment plans. When cosmetic injections first ditched the stigma (for the most part ha!), I noticed a lot of individuals trying to manage their own treatment plan; booking in their next treatment and only the treatments they think they need on their own accord. While I am 100 percent for autonomy over your cosmetic injections treatments, it’s unrealistic for individuals without training to develop and follow their own perfect treatment plan for their best results. With cosmetic injections, timing and strategic treatments are everything.
After your consultation and first cosmetic injections in Kamloops or Kelowna, we’ll discuss next steps to help you achieve your desired results—natural, long-lasting results will not happen overnight! Whether it’s coming in for a follow-up after your botox injections to see how your muscles reacted to the treatment or dividing up your lip filler injections to avoid migration, I am here to guide you through a personalized, strategic treatment plan that meets your desired results and budget. Strategically scheduled appointments and rotating treatments, helps us to maintain your results year-round while ensuring we don’t overdo it. Plus, you can always count on me to provide tips to help your cosmetic injection results last longer.
4. Jawline Contouring
Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of my patients looking for cosmetic injections in Kelowna and Kamloops are requesting jawline contouring, and it’s a cosmetic injection trend I can really get behind. The jawline has previously been an overlooked cosmetic injection area, but I believe we’re going to see a rise in popularity over 2025 as an increasing number of A-listers are bringing attention to how focusing on this area can make a huge difference for overall balance. A common effect of aging on the jawline is a gradual loss of definition or a sagging appearance. One contributing factor is bone resorption, which increases as we get older—particularly after age 50. The facial bones provide essential support, so when bone resorption accelerates, it often shows up around the jawline. As a result, the angle at the back of the lower jaw becomes less pronounced. With just a few subtle injections, we can define and sharpen the jawline, giving your face a more sculpted and youthful look. Combine jaw contouring with my favourite pair, the chin and lip filler combo, and your natural lower face rejuvenation is complete.
5. Combination Therapies
It used to be that some of my patients were die-hard botox fans or weren’t interested in straying from their usual lip filler treatment, but now, things are changing as more people realize the myriad of benefits they may be missing out on by not diversifying. The fact is, combining cosmetic injection treatments creates more personalized, more natural-looking results. While every one of my patients require individualized combinations, I typically recommend pairing dermal fillers (or botox!) with Restylane® Skinboosters™. While dermal fillers are perfect for adding volume and contouring areas like the cheeks or jawline, Restylane® Skinboosters™ help to improve skin texture and hydration. When used together, you’re not just restoring youthful volume but also boosting the overall health and texture of your skin. What’s great about this combination is that it targets both the surface and deeper layers of the skin, creating a more natural, refreshed look. It’s an awesome way to address a few different concerns at once, and with more people looking for treatments that feel tailored to their needs, combining dermal fillers with Skinboosters™ is definitely one of the top trends for 2025.
6. Preventative Botox
You’ve heard me talk about preventative botox for years and it’s finally catching on. Neuromodulators are not just for those trying to reverse the signs of aging—botox can help prevent static wrinkles from forming, ensuring you need less extensive cosmetic injection treatments in the future. More and more people in their late 20s and early 30s are opting to try botox as a way to prevent wrinkles and fine lines from forming in the first place. The idea is simple: by using botox early, you can relax the muscles that cause those deep lines to form, keeping the skin smoother and more youthful-looking for longer.
The science behind it is pretty fascinating. Botox works by temporarily blocking the signals from nerves to muscles, preventing them from contracting and causing the wrinkles that form with repeated muscle movement. Over time, this can help “train” the muscles to relax more naturally, reducing the risk of wrinkles becoming permanent. By starting botox treatments early, you’re essentially staying ahead of the aging process, preventing the deep lines and wrinkles that would normally appear later on. It’s not about stopping the natural aging process, but more about slowing it down and maintaining a youthful, fresh appearance. This preventative approach is gaining momentum because it’s subtle and extremely cost effective—preventive botox equals fewer required units.
7. Precision and Safety
In 2025, precision and safety in cosmetic injections are more important than ever, and it’s something I’m really passionate about—please read my guide to Cosmetic Injector Red Flags if you haven’t already and share with anyone looking for a new provider. As more people turn to botox and dermal fillers, it’s becoming even more important to find a skilled cosmetic injector in Kelowna and Kamloops you trust. The goal isn’t to completely change how you look but to achieve subtle, balanced results–and that takes a real understanding of your unique features and a lot of precision, which is why choosing someone experienced is key. That’s why working with a cosmetic injector who knows their stuff is so important.
Safety is just as important. Choosing a skilled cosmetic injector is a must. Your face is delicate, and injecting in the wrong place, or using too much product, can lead to uneven results or even more serious complications. We’ve all seen cases where botox or filler is overdone, and the result looks stiff or unnatural, which is why precision matters. It’s also important for your cosmetic injector to have a deep understanding of facial anatomy to avoid risks like bruising, swelling, or nerve damage. Choose someone who truly understands the science and technique behind these treatments. Thankfully, those looking to try cosmetic injections are becoming aware of how essential this is, and I’m excited to see a shift toward safer, more personalized treatments that focus on getting natural, balanced results without compromising on safety.
8. Reduced Stigma
One of the most exciting trends in cosmetic injections for 2025 is the reduced stigma around dermal fillers, botox, and biostimulators. Over the past few years, there’s been a noticeable shift in how cosmetic injections are perceived, and it’s only gaining momentum. More and more people are openly adding cosmetic injectables as part of their self-care routine, without feeling the need to hide it or apologize for it. This is especially true for anyone who wants subtle enhancements to help them feel more confident and refreshed, rather than undergoing dramatic transformations. The conversation is shifting from judgment to empowerment, with many now viewing cosmetic injections as just another way to take care of themselves—similar to getting a haircut or skincare treatment. Social media has played a big role in this shift, with influencers and everyday people alike sharing their cosmetic injection experiences. As a result, more people are feeling comfortable exploring these options, knowing that they don’t have to hide their decisions. I myself am starting to experience less stigma as a Naturopathic Doctor who also provides cosmetic injections—some use to say this was contradictory! In 2025, I see this trend only growing stronger, as we continue to move toward a more inclusive and open-minded approach to beauty and self-care.
